Welcome Meeting for the Flooding Project

Just cast your mind back over the last few winters for examples of devastating floods … Stratford upon Avon, Wainfleet, Ironbridge, Hull, Worcester, Hereford, Ludlow, Shrewsbury, Ilkeston, Loughborough to name a but few.

This is a project to highlight the Government's failure to respond to the real and present danger of ever-increasing severe and frequent flooding due to climate change.

The Deep Water Project includes:

• An awareness-raising and action planning webinar
• Public and virtual events and actions.

• Awareness raising in the media
• Demands for action by national and local politicians
• Collaboration with local flood action groups and other environmental groups
• Outreach and increasing membership
• Promotion of the CEE Bill
